Beatrice Kim is a Korean-American soprano working towards her Performance Diploma in Solo Performance at Indiana University School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Carol Vaness. Stage credits include Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart); Amore in L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi); Laura in Goblin Market (Pen and Harmon); L’Enfant in L'enfant et les sortilèges (Ravel); Hänsel in Hänsel aud Gretel (Humperdinck); La Conversa and La Cercatrice in Suor Angelica (Puccini); and Ella in Patience (Gilbert & Sullivan). Kim holds a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Oklahoma. Off the stage, Beatrice is also an avid supporter of opera outreach education programs, and works for the non-profit organizations “What is Opera, Anyway?” and “Reimagining Opera for Kids” that aims to cultivate a love and understanding of opera for anyone at any age.
