Tenor Anthony Rohr is a versatile singer of operatic and musical theatre repertoire. Completely enjoying both, he made his role debut singing Don José in La tragédie de Carmen with the Lake George Music Festival. In the same season he crooned Cole Porter’s masterful songs with the Seagle Festival of Music. Most recently, he put his character acting to the test as King Kaspar in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors with Badlands Opera Project. Rohr has gratefully greeted Iowan audiences once before, premiering Mr. Hartfield in Kevin Allen’s new opera Orphan Train to Iowa with Crescendo Performing Arts in Iowa City. Additional roles he’s performed are Che in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Evita, Jumper in The Falling and the Rising by Zach Redler, and Tom Buchanan in John Harbison’s The Great Gatsby.
