Kate Mitchell is a Nova Scotia-based designer and artist. She holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Design from NSCAD University, and graduated from the Dalhousie Costume Studies Diploma program in 2018. Kate has a long history with dance and dance costume in the Halifax area, and is currently working on costume projects for several dance schools and contemporary dance companies throughout the province. Kate has completed ballet-specific costume design and construction training in New York, and has translated her training into costumes and dancewear for local ballet students and aspiring professionals attending international ballet competitions.
