Erin Welsh (Costume Designer and Costume Shop and Wardrobe Supervisor) grew up in Fredericksburg and is delighted to return to the area and contribute to the arts community that she admired as a child. In 2020 she graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Theatre and minors in French, History, and Music. She discovered her passion for sewing and costuming in high school and decided to pursue it in college. While there she worked as a stitcher on many productions including The Pirates of Penzance, The Magic Flute, and Pericles. Erin began working at Riverside in September of 2021 as the First Hand and was thrilled to move into her current position in September of 2022. In addition to her work at Riverside, she is a violinist who has 15 years of experience playing as a soloist and with many ensembles. She is also an active equestrian who rides dressage. She credits and thanks her parents and all others who encouraged and supported her pursuit of theatre and the arts.
