Weston Corey (Production Electrician) is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in lighting design. He has worked in many different areas of the lighting industry, from project manager facilitating new builds and renovations of stages, museums, and architectural projects to educator, consultant, and designer. He is currently full-time at VCU providing technical support for the lighting and sound areas of the theatre department and is serving as one of Riverside’s key designers and production electrician. Previously, he has held a variety of roles including lighting director and resident lighting designer for the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center; adjunct instructor, technician, and programmer at VCU; in addition to an extensive freelance career as a lighting designer, assistant, and production electrician for countless shows in the Richmond area, and beyond with credits spanning up and down the east coast, as well as in the western US.
