Zanipolo Lewis

Zanipolo Lewis is a cellist from Burlington, Vermont. A dedicated soloist and chamber musician, he views music as the culmination of human experience and a vital force for empathy and connection. Zani is passionate about bringing music beyond the concert hall and into communities of all kinds. He believes music should be accessible to everyone and can inspire hope, understanding, and meaningful change. Zani earned his undergraduate degree at the New England Conservatory, studying with Yeesun Kim, and will continue at The Juilliard School in fall 2026, where he will pursue a master’s degree with Nina Lee. He performs on a 1972 Joseph Puskas cello, generously on loan from the Carlsen Cello Foundation.
