British cellist Jonathan Dormand has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. He is a laureate of the ISANGYUN International Cello Competition 2012 and awarded a major incentive grant from the Pierre Fournier Award in 2015. He has performed at Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, and Weill Hall, has collaborated with pianists Susan Tomes and John O’Connor, violinists Midori and Phillipe Graffin, and cellist Ralph Kirshbaum, and has appeared alongside singers Lucy Shelton and Rod Gilfrey. Festival appearances include the IMS Prussia Cove “Open Chamber Music”, Verbier Festival, and Ravinia Festival. Jonathan has appeared as soloist with Ensemble TIMF in South Korea, as well as the USC Wind Ensemble, USC Symphony, and Thornton Edge. Jonathan studied with Hannah Roberts at the Royal Northern College of Music and with Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory.
