Unfinished, Unfiltered is a collaborative exploration of hardship and adversity among a diverse group of actors, musicians, dancers and designers. Each actor writes a creative poem/story about their personal experiences with adversity and recite it in their own artistic style. In turn, the musicians will play music that supports each story, adding their own artistic expression into the music they choose to play based on their responses to the actors’ poems. Dancers will then perform choreographed and improvised work in response to the poems and music being performed. Designers involved in the project will also present their ideas for production and discuss how their creative concepts fit cohesively into the project. The goal of this project is to explore creative self-expression in response to the complex nature of hardship and adversity.
