Sarah Thompson is a freelance trombonist and teacher from the greater Pittsburgh area. She has had the opportunity to perform with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Dover Symphony, Stage Right, Mon River Arts, State Theater Center for the Arts, Carmichael's Performing Arts Center, Westminster Presbyterian Brass Quintet and Chesapeake Brass Band. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Music in trombone performance from the University of Delaware. She is currently working on her Doctor of Musical Arts at Shenandoah Conservatory. Her primary teachers include  Chris Hornick, Christian Dickinson, Bruce Tychinski, Justin Moore, Matt Niess and Jeff Cortazzo.
