Garrett Jones (Music Director, he/him/his) – A Shenandoah Conservatory alumnus, Garrett is a theatre and music educator and most recently served as music director here at Shenandoah University (SU) for the world premiere staging of A Killer Party by Jason Howland and a workshop of Fetching Water by Michael Hunsaker and Leslie Becker. With Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT) he was music director and conductor for last season's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and is music supervisor for the upcoming 2023 season. He has worked extensively in the Washington, D.C., area as a music director, conductor, accompanist, keyboard programmer, vocal coach and teaching artist and is currently staff accompanist at Millbrook High School and theatre music director for John Handley High School here in Winchester. Garrett music directed the D.C. regional premieres of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Sister Act at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts, and other select credits include music director for The Color Purple, Some Enchanted Evening and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at Riverside Center; the world premiere of Monsters of the Villa Diodati at Creative Cauldron; associate music director/conductor for 42nd Street and Grease at SSMT; and as a guest artist with educational institutions including American University, George Washington University, and Shepherd University and with other organizations including Adventure Theatre MTC, Creative Stages and the Virginia Thespian Festival.
