G’BARI “GQ” GILLIAM

G’bari Gilliam, a.k.a. “GQ”, grew up in Northern CA. He began dancing in the Bay Area at the age of 13. His first style of dance being West African dance. But in high school he later took in an interest in Hip-hop dance and began choreographing dances for Berkeley high school. Later he attended UCLA and received his degree in Dance in June of 2016. During his time at UCLA , he gained knowledge and experience in Freestyle, learning the history and techniques of multiple street dance forms. Gilliam has knowledge of many styles of dance such as hip-hop, house, whacking, Vogue, traditional West African, contemporary dance and more. Gilliam is an active participant in the Street Dance community and is known around the world for participating in Freestyle events in Hip-Hop, House, and Whacking. GQ continues to grow and has worked with Artists such as Adidas, Bad Bunny, Janelle Monae, Hennessy, Tyler Perry, Disney, and more.
