In addition to Westport Country Playhouse, Hassan has worked extensively as a regional equity actor at many of the LORT theaters across the country including Alliance Theatre, Arena Stage, Dallas Theatre Center, Denver Theatre Center, Goodman Theatre, Guthrie Theatre, Huntington Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage; as well as at San Diego Repertory Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, Sacramento Theatre Company, Penumbra Theatre, Kennedy Center, Colorado, Utah, and Oregon Shakespeare Festivals; in such roles as Dr. Finache in A Flea in Her Ear, Leland in Blues for an Alabama Sky, Lincoln in Top Dog Under Dog, Troy Maxson in Fences, Harmon Wilks in Radio Golf, Booster in Jitney, Floyd Barton in Seven Guitars, Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Walter Lee in A Raisin in the Sun, Sergeant Waters in A Soldiers Play, Mufasa in The Lion King, Prospero in The Tempest, Edmund in King Lear, and the title role in Othello just to name a few.
Hassan is a member of the Resident Ensemble Player residing on the campus of the University of Delaware. He received his M.F.A. from the Professional Theater Training Program at the University of Delaware.
