Did you know? Leftover Salmon was born out of a New Year’s Eve show played by two bluegrass bands on the rise, Salmon Heads and the Left Hand String Band, which both contributed to the new name. Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own unique style.

Leftover Salmon made their Wolf Trap debut at the Filene Center in 1996. Since then, the band has returned to play at the Filene Center in 1998 and 2023.
