Christian Alicea’s journey began with a rich musical heritage that laid the foundation for his artistic path. His father was a renowned percussionist and bandleader of the traveling cover band Maikin,’ and his two older brothers were singers and percussionists. At the age of 10, Alicea took his first steps in music playing percussion with his dad's band. At 14, his vocal talent surfaced when he sang at a wedding.

In January 2024, Billboard named him one of the 15 Latin & Spanish Artists to Watch, and by December, he was celebrated as a Latin Artist on the Rise. MediaBase ranked him as the No. 9 Tropical Artist of the Year and his song “Es Un Secreto” as the No. 11 Tropical Song of the Year in 2024, solidifying his position among the elite in his genre.

The same year, he performed at the Latin Grammys, where he sang alongside the legendary Tito Nieves in a segment produced by Marc Anthony and directed by Sergio George. Additionally, he participated in a Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation event celebrating the legacy of Celia Cruz titled 100 Years of the Queen of Salsa.
