UMBRELLA MAN’S MAGICAL UMBRELLA

Greg Vovos (Playwright) is a playwright, screenwriter, theater director, and Senior Writer at American Greetings. He’s a two-time winner of the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award in Playwriting; a Cleveland Public Theatre Nord Playwriting Fellow; Dobama Theatre Playwrights Gym member; and Dramatists Guild member. Greg was resident playwright for the Willoughby Fine Arts Association’s Theatre for Healthy Living program, for which he’s written 15 plays about issues facing youth today. His work has been seen around the world, translated into several languages, and published by several outlets. He’s taught playwriting at various theatres and universities, including University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Baldwin Wallace University, and Case Western Reserve University, where he teaches today. He earned his MFA in Playwriting from UNLV and a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University. He’s married to his best friend and together they have two amazing kids and a lot of pets. He’s thrilled to have his work produced by Weathervane Playhouse.

Mason P. Shuman (Stanley) returns to the Weathervane stage for his eighth 8x10: Eileen Moushey TheatreFest. He was also recently seen as Mr. Boddy in last season's production of Clue. Mason enjoys doing things on stages — and of all stages, Weathervane is his favorite. When not on stage he is in front of a classroom teaching Spanish. Mason is eternally grateful to his family for supporting his need to play make-believe.

Caitlin Bradley (Felicita) has many fond childhood memories of performing on the Weathervane stage in youth theater and main stage productions. After a long hiatus, she returned to Weathervane for the 8x10 festival five years ago. This is now her third 8x10 festival and she is delighted to be working with April again and to be sharing the stage with so many talented actors. Caitlin is an English teacher at North High School and is also a yoga teacher. She sends love and gratitude to Steve, Noah, Finn, family and friends for all their support!
