Edward J. Walsh (Playwright) Edward J. Walsh has worn many hats during his writing career — but his favorite is that of playwright. Laboring as a lone wolf, or at other times as a collaborator, he has seen a number of plays go into production at venues that range from Off-Off-Broadway on the East Coast to The Barter Theatre in the deep South and Seattle on the West Coast. Further venues for productions have extended as far as India, and translation into Hindi. In Northeast Ohio, his work has been produced at Dobama Theatre, Cuyahoga Community College-Western Campus Theatre, Berea Summer Theatre, John Carroll University, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre-River Street Playhouse, and Ensemble Theatre, to name but a few regional venues. Of the two plays produced at Ensemble Theatre, one was a semi-finalist in the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. This play was later published, as were several others. Walsh, a graduate of John Carroll University, resides in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where he is currently at work on his next play.

Elijah Chase (Cornelius) Elijah Chase joined the Weathervane staff in 2021. He is a native of Houston, Texas and a graduate of Kent State University, where he got his B.A. in Theatrical Studies with a concentration in Directing. He is no stranger to the stage, both on and off, performing in Weathervane's The Color Purple and Kent State's production of Parade, assisting directing Porthouse's BRKLN and Kent State’s production of The Hunchback of Seville while also being a scenic artist for many of Kent State's productions.

James Boyd, Jr. (Mr. Godnuff) James E. Boyd, Jr., is a Cleveland native who has been active in the performing arts from a very young age. Weathervane audiences last saw him in The Color Purple. James started acting at Karamu House, where he performed in such productions as God’s Trombones, Force Continuum, Ruined, and Christmas Is Comin’ Uptown. James also worked as a Resident Actor with Playwright-In-Residence Micheal Oatman in the T.O.P.S. program, which toured to many schools in the Cleveland area. He would later play the role of Boy Willy in August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson at True North Theatre. James has also been in several movies and TV series such as Crime Stoppers, for which he received an Emmy in 2015. He has also been in movies such as Spider-Man, Transformers, The Avengers, and Boot Tracks just to name a few. Most recently, he was featured in The Luckiest Girl in the World produced by Handmade Films. James is very excited to be returning to the stage and hopes you enjoy the show.
