You will see the world differently after taking in a performance at The Purchase PAC. It is our shared home for extraordinary experiences, a place where artists come to collaborate and create, students come to hone their craft, and audiences come to find solace, inspiration, and connection.
As part of our mission, we are always striving to expand our programming in innovative ways that will welcome a broad and diverse audience base. To this end, we are reintroducing a series of events for families this season. Watching your child experience their first live theatre performance is nothing short of magical, and the children's theatre companies we will present this season are experts at creating this magic.
Today we bring you Flutter, a discovery play for babies created by long-time PAC partners Treehouse Shakers. A non-profit dance and theatre company co-founded in 1997, Treehouse Shakers has created and performed 20 original dance-plays for young audiences, including The Boy Who Grew Flowers, a theatrical adaption of Barefoot Book’s picture book by Jen Wojtowicz commissioned by The Purchase PAC.
Flutter, with its very young audience, is something new for Treehouse Shakers and for us at The Purchase PAC. Thank you for taking a chance on it, sharing the experience with us today, and for being a part of this community. I look forward to seeing you in the lobby.
