The Washington Pavilion integrates art and science into the daily lives of thousands of people. Programming ranges from Broadway tours to chamber recitals in two state-of-the-art theaters in the Husby Performing Arts Center. The Kirby Science Discovery Center features more than 100 hands-on interactive exhibits. The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium presents rotating educational and mission films. The Visual Arts Center showcases regional, national and international exhibitions, including work by South Dakota artists.

The Washington Pavilion also offers education programs and events through its Education Department and Graham Academy Preschool and dining at The WP Cafe and Parlour.

Our volunteers help create moments that matter. Through guest engagement and program support, they serve the community while contributing to experiences that inspire curiosity and connection.

Volunteers must be 14 and older, with opportunities for those 13 and older in the Kirby Science Discovery Center. On-site training is provided.
