Innovation Station: A timeline of Fleabag

Dec 2012: Experienced young theatre producer Francesca Moody joins DryWrite to produce their first play, Mydidae, directed by Vicky Jones and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, performed Upstairs at Soho Theatre.

Aug 2013: Jones and Waller-Bridge team up again and Fleabag is born. It has a sell-out run in Edinburgh, followed by two sold-out Soho Theatre runs, and an international tour. It becomes a game-changing production for the company.

July 2016: Fleabag is adapted into the BBC TV series with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, alongside Sian Clifford and Olivia Colman, and premieres to widespread acclaim.

Dec 2016: The one-woman show returns to Soho Theatre for another sold-out run.

Apr 2019: The second season of the BBC series premieres, with Andrew Scott joining the cast. The season wins 6 Emmy awards and 2 BAFTAs.

Aug 2019: The one-woman show has its final run with Phoebe Waller-Bridge for 30 performances, this time in the West End at the Wyndham’s Theatre.

Sep 2019: National Theatre Live broadcasts the play to cinemas across the world.
