This performance is presented without an intermission.
Best known as the star and executive producer of the hit TV series The Carbonaro Effect, Michael Carbonaro has also appeared on popular television shows including Happily Divorced, 30 Rock, Grey’s Anatomy, and CSI: Miami. A magician since childhood, he went on to study experimental theater at New York University, with the goal of entertaining audiences through diverse theatrical forms—including hidden-camera magic, which he frequently performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Those late-night performances led to The Carbonaro Effect, his breakout comedy-magic series that has produced more than 100 episodes, airs on Max, and is syndicated worldwide. In the show, Carbonaro astonishes unsuspecting people with surreal illusions: making a car vanish in front of a security guard, turning alien crabs into kittens in a lab, or posing as an everyday barista or museum curator while performing baffling tricks. His straight-faced delivery and absurd explanations leave his onlookers stunned and viewers at home laughing out loud.
In 2016, Carbonaro launched his first national theater tour, Michael Carbonaro Live!, followed in 2021 by his current stage production, Carbonaro: Lies on Stage. Performing for more than 200 audiences nationwide, he continues to captivate fans of all ages with his unique blend of comedy, charisma, and astonishing illusions—establishing himself as one of the most dynamic entertainers of his generation.
