Auctioning 101

  • Use your assigned paddle number when bidding in the live auction.

  • If you win an item, we’ll process your payment tonight with your permission or within 48–72 hours. Be sure to take your auction items with you when you leave The Grove Hotel.

  • If your item requires scheduling, you’re responsible for contacting the donor to arrange a date. Some items may have blackout dates.

  • The values listed for auction items come from the donors and are not guaranteed by Opera Idaho.

  • Any amount you pay above an item’s stated value may be tax-deductible. You’ll receive an invoice by email the night of the event, and we’ll send a follow-up letter with tax details after the event.

  • If any questions or issues come up, the auctioneer or Opera Idaho staff will have the final say.

  • All sales are final—no exchanges, cash refunds, or credits. Opera Idaho cannot guarantee the availability of services associated with gift certificates, including businesses that may close or change ownership.

  • Sales tax (6%) applies to tangible items in auction packages.
