The members of 512: The Selena Experience came together for one reason. That one reason is to bring the magic of Selena to her fans worldwide. Since the group’s inception in 2014, they have been successfully doing just that. Having just returned from their second trip where they performed for the military in Okinawa, Japan, 512 are on fire!
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic Selena: The Series was released on Netflix. This series has not only revived the Selena Fandom with her existing fans but has helped to cultivate new fans worldwide. This has made 512, one of the most desired and sought-after tribute acts in North America today.
This show is a mind-blowing experience and the closest one can get to live a Selena concert. Simply, the best Selena tribute production out there!
These musicians came together and orchestrated an extraordinary show that will take you back to 1995 within seconds of their first song. 512 will bring to you the finest Selena tribute that you can possibly imagine. Now, get ready to sing, dance and re-live Selena!
This extraordinary production is led by musical director Carlos Vargas and features Keila Martinez on lead vocals.
Carlos Vargas
Vargas is the glue that holds the 512 band together. He was born into a musical family where there were always instruments to play at home. He started with the piano and even though he wanted to be a drummer, he picked up the guitar because that was the most accessible instrument at the time. Vargas played in his first band at church which led to touring worldwide with many notable acts including The Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey. and Adele. When Vargas is not touring with 512, he’s producing music for the stars of tomorrow.
Keila Martinez
A San Luis, AZ native, Martinez developed her musical skills with the distinguished and award-winning Gadsden School District #32 marching band, playing trumpet, and in the Mariachi Gadsden where she sang and played violin. Her involvement in these musical programs, gave Martinez the opportunity to tour worldwide whilst developing her vocal skills. She most recently sang the National Anthem at Chase Field for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ opening game. When Martinez is not touring with 512, she works as a middle school guidance counselor and spends time with her daughter.
The 512 band consists of Vargas on guitar, David Barrera on bass, David Vazquez on keys, Jacob Vera on drums, and Anthony Hernandez on percussions.
