Stephen Jacobs is a classical guitarist driven by a lifelong love for the instrument. From the moment he first encountered the Bach etudes, his musical path was set in motion. His program celebrates masterworks by Agustín Barrios, Leo Brouwer, Isaac Albéniz, Heitor Villa-Lobos, and more—composers whose music has endlessly inspired him.

Jacobs has shared this passion in hundreds of concerts, weddings, and private events, bringing expressive interpretation and a warm, intimate sound to audiences throughout his career. Beyond the classical stage, he has enjoyed a wide-ranging life in music: he co-created and performed with the acclaimed children’s group The Dirty Sock Funtime Band, composed, recorded, and performed scores for film and the stage, and worked extensively as a studio musician. These diverse experiences continue to inform his playing, lending each performance a unique blend of refinement, imagination, and heartfelt storytelling.
