ADORABOREALIS: Live and in Two Persons brings together Mike Messer and Tom McCaffrey for an evening of layered guitars, vocal harmonies, cinematic textures, beautiful noise, and songs that drift somewhere between dream-pop, art rock, late-night radio static, and controlled collapse.
Built around an atmosphere that moves from intimate to explosive without warning, ADORABOREALIS is less like a traditional concert and more like a shared transmission made of equal parts melody, noise, humor, tension, improvisation, and strange emotional weather.
Live and in Two Persons strips the project down to its core chemistry: two performers, too many guitars, and an unhealthy interest in seeing how far a song can stretch before it levitates.
Mike Messer is a New York City–based musician, actor, composer, writer, poet, and producer. He’s performed concerts across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Japan, Guam, and Guantanamo Bay, toured nationally as the lead singer of the British Rock Symphony Tour alongside the late rock and soul legend Billy Preston, and starred internationally as Berger in the rock musical Hair, including the first-ever production in Beirut, Lebanon. Messer has composed original music for Sesame Street, appeared on Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, and his voice can be heard in projects including Wonder Pets!, Sing It Laurie, and the worldwide hit animated series Super Wings! He was also “Nate the IT Guy,” the comically overwhelmed spokesperson in the popular Wasabi Technologies commercials. From his Harlem studio, Electric LennyLand, Messer produces records and artists while also creating music, jingles, and voiceover work for clients including The New York Times, Bank of Boston, Popsicle, and Education.com, as well as songs for the upcoming The Clown Bank Show premiering this summer in Los Angeles.
Tom McCaffrey is a musician, producer, recording engineer, and educator who in 2025 sang lead vocals and played lead guitar in the Tony®-nominated Broadway production Dead Outlaw. He is the founder and head engineer of Rad Hazard Studios in Brooklyn, where he has produced and engineered hundreds of artists, and has taught students across New York City since 2012, including members of the acclaimed rock band Geese. A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, McCaffrey combines technical precision with explosive musicianship and improvisational energy.
