Nathan Lane is a Tony Award-winning actor, singer, and writer known for his roles in The Birdcage and The Producers. Lane is also know for having voiced the character Timon, a meerkat, in Disney’s 1994 film The Lion King.
Since his performance in Mike Nichols’ The Birdcage catapulted him into stardom in 1996, Lane has appeared in one memorable role after another. His portrayal
of Max Bialystock in the long-running Broadway phenomenon The Producers won him the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Tony Awards for Best Actor in a Musical.
Lane has appeared in television shows including “Mid-Century Modern,” HBO’s “Sex and the City,” “Modern Family,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “30 Rock,” “The Good Wife,” and “The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”. He received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for the Hulu mystery comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” in 2022.

Anne Keefe has been with the Westport Country Playhouse off and on in many capacities since 1973. She was part of the original group who in 1999 gathered to renovate the Playhouse. She served as the Playhouse Artistic Director with Joanne Woodward in 2008 and as Associate Artistic Director from 2000 to 2006.
She has also performed at the Playhouse and worked alongside notable talents including Christopher Walken and Hal Holbrook. Before the Playhouse, Anne spent 27 years stage managing at Long Wharf Theatre and also worked at McCarter Theatre and on Broadway, with credits including The Changing Room, Death and the Maiden, Hamlet, and Night Must Fall. Anne has directed multiple Hole in the Wall Gang Camp Galas and served on the boards of the Playhouse and the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County. She has taught the third-year stage managers at the Yale School of Drama. Her honors include the Del Hughes Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, the Westport Arts Award, and the Tom Killan Award.
