PRODUCTION TEAM
 
Kelly Duyn (Director)
Kelly is a Venice native who is proud to be a member of VT’s staff. Her VT directing credits include Honk!, My Son Pinocchio JR, Seussical the Musical JR, Willy Wonka JR, Wiley and the Hairy Man, and coming this fall, She Kills Monsters. Her recent onstage roles include Disenchanted (Rapunzel), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Snout), The Rocky Horror Show (Phantom), Blood Brothers (Narrator) and The Sunshine Boys (TV Nurse). As Assistant Director of the Education and Outreach Department, she helps develop programming, teaches classes and facilitates workshops with local schools and other community organizations. She is the staff liaison and facilitator for VT’s Youth Production Company and director of VT’s school outreach program Troupe In A Trunk.
 
William Coleman (Music Director)
William is an award-winning Music Director. He has provided local music direction for My Way, The Andrews Brothers, Little Shop of Horrors, Mame, Jekyll and Hyde, Nine, Baby, Annie Jr., Seussical Jr., Cabaret, Pirates of Penzance, Ain’t Misbehavin, Avenue Q, and the World Premiere productions of Boynton Beach Club and Practically Perfect. William is sought after as a coach and collaborative artist, accompanying and collaborating with Mike and Jessica Mathews of Mathews Entertainment, Katt Heffner, one of today’s international jazz sirens of Kattnip Enterprises, and John W. Work’s classical and spiritual pieces with Philip Autry of Fisk University. William earned a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from Purdue University, and did undergraduate work in piano performance at the University of Tennessee. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in piano performance from Middle Tennessee State University and did postgraduate study in Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Oklahoma. Musical Theater holds a very special place in his heart. His hope is that you will get to encounter that passion in the production you are about to experience.
 
Vanessa Russo (Choreographer)
Proud member of Actors’ Equity Association. Born and raised in Sarasota, FL. Some professional Broadway credits include: Billy Elliot (First National Tour), Billy Elliot (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Billy Elliot (Muny, North Shore Theatre and Fulton Theatre), West Side Story (Asian/European Tour), Oklahoma! (First National Tour), Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Broadway Dance Lab with Josh Prince, St. Pete Opera’s Kiss Me, Kate, The Merry Widow, Rigoletto, The Soldier’s Tale, Don Giovanni, Tales of Hoffman, among others. Feature Film: Across The Universe. She has choreographed for the following: St. Pete Opera, MPAC, Sarasota Players, CANDance, and Sarasota Academy of the Arts.
 
Luke Manual McFatrich (Assistant Director / Auxiliary Acting Teacher)
Luke is so thrilled to be working with this awesome team and committed young artists. By day he is the Digital Development Associate and an instructor here at Venice Theatre. He studied Marketing and Theatre at Mississippi State University, and is currently an MBA candidate at University of Central Arkansas. In addition, Luke is the founder of Dingbat Theatre Project in Sarasota, director of VT’s teen improv troupe, and a director and actor in the area. Directing credits include Shrek the Musical, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, and The Elves and the Shoemaker. Favorite onstage credits include Pythio in Head Over Heels, Mrs. Bumbrake/Teacher in Peter and the Starcatcher, George in The Drowsy Chaperone, and a solo performance of The Call of the Wild which he adapted from the Jack London novel.
 
Nate Blaweiss (Sound Designer)
Nate is the Resident Sound Designer at Venice Theatre, recently designing for john and jen, Love Letters (composer), Menopause: the Musical, and Good People. Nate studied music at Florida State and remotely at University of Chichester, earning his MA in film scoring in 2018. You can see and hear some of Nate’s work at nateblaweiss.com.
 
Cindy Carruth (Lighting Designer)
Originally from Louisiana, Cindy has worked in technical theatre for 11 years. As a Master Electrician she has worked for Maine State Music Theatre and Tent Theatre. She also taught at Louisiana School for Math, Science, and Arts and did undergraduate work at Northwestern State University.
 
Tim Wisgerhof (Scenic Designer)
Hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, Tim is Venice Theatre’s Resident Scenic Designer. In Des Moines, he has designed for Stage West, Des Moines Onstage, The Des Moines Metro Opera and was previously the Resident Designer for The Des Moines Playhouse. Prior to returning to his home town of Des Moines, Tim worked in New York City. While there he served as the Window and Creative Director for Saks Fifth Avenue for 12 years, in addition to designing numerous theatre and television projects. He is a graduate of Drake University.
 
Brittany Hardison (Costume Designer)
Brittany graduated from East Carolina University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts Design and Production with a concentration in Lighting Design and Costume Construction. She had an internship with the Ocala Civic Theatre from May 2018-May 2019. She joined us for a summer internship in June of 2019, then sailed away on the Norwegian Pearl as the Wardrobe Supervisor. Brittany rejoined the Venice Theatre family, full-time, in March of 2021. Once Upon a Mattress is her first design to ever be seen on stage!
 
Jenna Fisher (Stage Manager)
Jenna is thrilled to be back for her fourth summer with Venice Theatre! She has worked with the Education Department interning for summer sessions and stage managing for class showcases. Jenna is also a founding member of the Youth Production Company where she was stage manager and lighting designer for their production of Almost, Maine. She is currently pursuing her B.F.A in Technical Theatre Design and Production at Florida Southern College. “Thank you to Kelly and Sandy for trusting me with your show this year. I’d be nothing without my supportive theatre moms.”
