Albert Hague was a German-born composer, songwriter, and actor best known for composing the music for the 1966 animated TV special How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and for his role as Benjamin Shorofsky in the TV series Fame. While he composed the music for the original TV special, the stage musical Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical uses his original songs from the TV special. He also won a Tony Award for his work on the Broadway musical Redhead.
