Michele Ragusa
Vocals

Michele Ragusa is thrilled to be returning to her hometown! She has had a wonderful theatrical career including seven Broadway shows. One of her greatest joys is singing with symphonies across the country. She has headlined with the Toronto, Oklahoma, Chattanooga, Jackson, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Long Beach, Chautauqua, Phoenix, and Modesto symphonies, as well as with the Long Island, Naples, and Abilene philharmonics. It was her pleasure to also have shared the stage with the late, great Marvin Hamlisch at the Kennedy Center.

Michele was last seen starring on Broadway in Flying Over Sunset at Lincoln Center, written and directed by James Lapine. Prior to that, she starred in Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein as Elizabeth (succeeding Megan Mullally). She won the Barrymore Award and received both Lortel and Drama League nominations for her performance as Corinna in Christopher Durang’s Adrift in Macao at Primary Stages in NYC. Other Broadway credits include Urinetown, Ragtime, A Class Act, Titanic, and Cyrano. Her off-Broadway credits include Austen’s Pride at Carnegie Hall, The Butcher Boy at the Irish Repertory Theatre, and Disaster! The Musical. Her regional credits are: Noises Off (Dotty); The Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch); Hello, Dolly! (Dolly); Mame (Mame); Gypsy (Rose); 42nd Street (Maggie); Memphis (Gladys); The King and I (Anna); Grand Hotel (Grusynkya); Singing in the Rain (Lina Lamont); Into the Woods (The Witch); Sweeney Todd (Beggar Woman); The Full Monty; Kiss Me, Kate (Lilli/Kate); Bad Dates; Drowsy Chaperone (Chaperone); and Lend Me a Tenor (Maria).
