The Hamburg High School Chamber Choir, under the direction of Brandon Mellerski, is a dynamic and dedicated ensemble known for their exceptional performances and commitment to musical excellence. This Chamber is a prestigious auditioned group that specializes in unaccompanied music with multiple parts. The Choir has earned accolades in the past from various NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) performances and ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) conferences, and spend their time singing for other various events in the Hamburg area. They are excited to perform alongside the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus for another year, continuing their tradition of engaging with professional musicians in the area.
Mellerski, now in his third year at Hamburg High School, fosters a rich musical environment where students develop as both individual singers and as part of a cohesive ensemble. His passion for choral music and his dedication to vocal development inspires the students to strive for their best. Mellerski is also the bass section leader for the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and has conducted ensembles including the Houghton College Choir, Houghton’s Lyric Theatre productions, and Handel’s Messiah at Houghton Wesleyan Church.
The Chamber Choir’s ongoing pursuit of artistic growth and high-level performance continues to inspire both the students and the broader community. Mellerski is excited to continue the long-standing tradition of vocal excellence in the Hamburg Central School District, and to share the group's talents and hard work with the Greater Buffalo community through this opportunity.
