Natalia Santaliz

Soprano Natalia Santaliz continues to establish herself as a vibrant presence on operatic and concert stages across the Americas. In 2024, she made her Metropolitan Opera debut at Lincoln Center as part of the Niñas Ensemble in Osvaldo Golijov’s Ainadamar, sharing the stage with soprano Angel Blue. That same year, she appeared with Sun Valley Opera & Broadway and Illuminarts in Miami Beach, while beginning her work as an Arts & Culture Correspondent for CBS Puerto Rico and One Caribbean Television, highlighting the diverse cultural scene of the Caribbean.

During the 2022–23 season, Ms. Santaliz was a Resident Artist with Opera San José, performing Nannetta in Verdi’s Falstaff and starring as Cinderella in Alma Deutscher’s Cinderella. She also sang Zerlina in Berkshire Opera Festival’s Don Giovanni.

An alumna of prestigious programs, she was a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (2022) and participated in Festival Napa Valley’s Manetti Shrem Opera Program (2021). That year, she performed Camila in Johanny Navarro’s Frenesí in San Juan, appeared as soprano soloist in John Rutter’s Requiem with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, and joined the New World Symphony in The Blue Project: Puerto Rican Folk Music.

She has collaborated with cellist Emilio Colón and the Puerto Rico International Chamber Orchestra, and performed in Pro Arte Musical’s Música Abierta series, fostering cultural engagement in underserved communities. Her repertoire includes Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Mařenka (The Bartered Bride). She is the recipient of the 2016 Roberto I. Ferdman Award for artistic achievement.
