From Boulder, Colorado, Brooke Gilliam trained at Colorado Conservatory of Dance and later joined Atlanta Ballet’s Conservatory Program on scholarship. She danced with Atlanta Ballet 2 for two years and joined the main company in 2018. Gilliam has performed in Balanchine’s Serenade and Coppélia, Ekman’s Cacti, Lubovitch’s Elemental Brubeck, and Ochoa’s Coco Chanel. She also performed The Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center. She’s danced leading roles in works by Claudia Schreier and Juliano Nunes, and returns this summer to the National Choreographers Initiative.
