Kyle Yeung is a pianist, violinist, and composer from Irvine, California. At age seven, he made his orchestral debut after winning first place at the US CAPMT Young Musicians Concerto Competition. He was admitted to The Juilliard School Pre-College Program at age eleven. Yeung was named a National First Prize winner by the Music Teachers National Association in composition in both 2019 and 2023, and earned a National Third Prize in piano performance in 2023.
Yeung is a 2023–2025 United States Chopin Foundation scholarship recipient and a 2024–25 National YoungArts Winner. He has received first prizes at the Stravinsky Awards Bach International Piano Competition, Glendale Piano Competition, ENKOR International Music Competition, Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, and Rising Stars Grand Prix, and has been a gold medalist at the 2022, 2023, and 2024 Northwest Chopin Competition. He performed at Walt Disney Concert Hall as a Spotlight 2024 Classical Instrumental Grand Prize Finalist.
As a composer, Yeung’s works have earned numerous national and international awards. He performed at the 2019 World Composers’ Recital in Vienna as a first-prize winner of the Golden Key International Music Festival and is a 2024 Music Teachers Association of California Young Composers Guild winner. Yeung is also a Yamaha International Junior Original Concert Artist.
