Lex Ishimoto, from CA, made his professional dance debut as “Billy” on the 1st & 2nd national tour of Billy Elliot the Musical in 2011. His training continued at Boston Ballet School as a trainee in 2015. He was promoted to Boston Ballet II in 2016. After joining Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound company for the tour of After the Curtain in 2017, Ishimoto was crowned America’s Favorite Dancer on So You Think You Can Dance season 14. He appeared as an All-Star for the 15th season. In 2019, he joined the MUSE Simulation Theory World Tour, set work for the Boston Ballet; and worked with William Forsythe on The Barre Project in 2020. Lex can be seen in music videos by Sia, Judith Hill, BeBe Rexha, and has worked for Disney+ and Apple TV for film.
