Ryan Robinson’s dance journey began at the age of 7 in a quaint studio under the guidance of Marvin Ramey in Bakersfield, California. At 12, he moved to Long Beach, immersing himself in ballet training at Long Beach Ballet. During this period, he really discovered his love for dancing through ballet and contemporary repertoire. Ryan made a significant leap across the country toward the end of his sophomore year of high school, dedicating himself to full-time professional training at The Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington D.C. Graduating in the spring of 2022, his time at the academy was marked by an impressive repertoire that included classical ballet pas de deux, solo variations, character dances, and a plethora of original contemporary solos and ensemble pieces. Ryan's commitment to excellence extended beyond the academy walls, as evidenced by his participation in numerous summer intensives as well as performances at the Youth America Grand Prix finals, both as a soloist and in the ensemble category. Currently, Ryan is embarking on a dual academic and artistic pursuit at UCI's Claire Trevor School of the Arts. Here, he is channeling his passion for dance into a Bachelor of Fine Arts while also expanding his horizons with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. This multifaceted approach reflects Ryan's dedication to marrying artistic expression with business acumen, ensuring a well-rounded foundation for his future in the world of dance.
