Cameron Schwanz left home at 15 to train at the National Ballet School of Canada and then finished his training at the Houston Ballet Academy. Once Houston went under structural changes, he followed Ben Stevenson, formerly of Houston Ballet, to Texas Ballet Theater where he performed in several of Mr. Stevenson's pieces. While a great deal of his time was spent in Texas, the majority of Cameron's career has taken place in California with companies such as Ballet San Jose, Los Angeles Ballet as well as a number of small companies, choreographers, and ballet schools. Cameron has performed several roles for Festival Ballet Theatre over the years and is happy to once again be performing with the company in this year's performances of Coppélia.
