Reecey Grubbs is a senior at Karns High School. She has played violin since she was four years old and has played in the KSYOA orchestras for seven years. She has participated in ETSBOA  All East and All State for 2022 and 2023. Reecey has also played trumpet since sixth grade. She has played with Grace Christian Academy Band, Karns Middle School Band and the Fighting Beavers Marching Band for Karns High School. She has enjoyed performing with KHS band in the annual Karns Christmas parade and the WIVK Knoxville Christmas Parade. She has also played vibes with the Karns Indoor Percussion team. She wishes to thank her dedicated violin teachers who taught her from those first scratchy notes to playing the difficult pieces with Youth Orchestra. Thank you, Leah Cushing, Meade Armstrong, Ruth Bacon Edewards and Jennifer Bloch! She also wishes to thank her band directors for their tireless pursuit of musical excellence. Reecey plans to pursue a degree in Psychology at a university yet to be determined.
