Lesley is the founding Managing Director of Marin Shakespeare Company. She holds a B.A. in Religion from Princeton University, where she was honored with the Frances LeMoyne Page Award for Theatre. Since 1989, she has produced award-winning summer productions, provided work for thousands of theatre artists, nurtured arts education programs, and founded Shakespeare for Social Justice serving California State prisons and Juvenile Halls. An actor, director and playwright, Lesley has won numerous artistic awards and nominations. She is past President of the Shakespeare Theatre Association, was elected to the Marin Women’s Hall of Fame in 2007, and is the 2017 recipient of the Burbarge Award for excellence in Shakespeare production worldwide from the American Shakespeare Center.
