SARA STERN (she/her,Yente) was last seen at Music Theater Works as “Brigid/Houdini’s Mother” in RAGTIME. She also appeared as “Cinderella’s Mother/Granny” in the company’s productions of INTO THE WOODS, “Praskovia” in THE MERRY WIDOW, “Fruma Sarah” in the 2014 production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF,  “Mrs. Anderssen” in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, “Maud Dunlop” in THE MUSIC MAN, and as “Mme Baltin” in YOU NEVER KNOW, among others. A versatile performer in musicals, operetta, and theater, Sara’s other credits include “Old Lady” in CANDIDE  (Skylight Music Theatre), “Bernarda” in HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA (Redtwist Theatre), “Old Lady” in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE (Porchlight Music Theatre). She also appeared as multiple “young maids” and “grande dames” for the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company of Chicago, where she is a company member. Fun fact: Sara’s grandmother was a minority investor in the original 1964 broadway production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, which she first saw in a workshop in New Rochelle, New York.
