In 2024, Aaron Crouch appeared with with the North Carolina Symphony, Music Director Carlos Miguel Prieto, and NC Master Chroale in concerts featuring selections from Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Handel’s Messiah.
Originally from Bowie, Maryland, Aaron Crouch is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. He is a District Winner from Michigan in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and was chosen as one of nine finalists for Houston Grand Opera’s Concert of Arias. This season he will make his debut with Hawaii Opera Theatre in the role of Mosquito (Lindoro) in The Riot Grrrl on Mars, an adaptation of Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri, and will appear as Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi with Knoxville Opera.
In the 2024/25 season, Crouch performed Handel’s Messiah with the Santa Fe Symphony and appeared with Lyric Fest for their Soul of the City concert series. On the concert stage in recent seasons, he sang Roderigo in Verdi's Otello with the National Symphony Orchestra, joined Morris Robinson for the second iteration of Morris & Friends: An Evening of Opera & Gospel at Washington Adventist University, and appeared as the tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah with New West Symphony, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, and Memphis Symphony Orchestra. In previous seasons he has appeared in the role of The Son in Jeanine Tesori’s Blue at Detroit Opera and Pittsburgh Opera, also recording the opera with Washington National Opera, and made a debut in the title role in Candide with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at their May Festival, led by Katharina Wincor.
Crouch was a member of the young artist program at The Glimmerglass Festival in 2019 and 2021, and was a member of Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy. He was also featured in Joyce DiDonato’s Masterclass Series at Carnegie Hall, streamed on Medici.tv.
