These concerts are the North Carolina Symphony debut for Bryce Ryness.

Bryce Ryness began his professional career as a business major at the University of Southern California and member of the collegiate a cappella group The SoCal VoCals. As an actor and singer he has appeared in five Broadway shows, seven Off-Broadway shows, three cast albums, two personal albums, and national tours in  more than 50 citiess.  Most recently on Broadway, he starred as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda. Also on Broadway; Hair (2009 Tony Award-winning revival), First Date, Leap of Faith, and Legally Blonde: The Musical. Screen credits include Tangled, Sacrifice, Law & Order: SVU, Peter Pan Live!, It Could Be Worse, Submissions Only, Political Animals, and Just for Kicks.

Ryness been principal soloist in concerts with orchestras including the Boston Pops, Houston Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Jacksonville Symphony, and Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. He makes his home in Pasadena, CA and also does custom woodworking, specializing in treehouses.
