This concert is the North Carolina Symphony debut for Bridget O'Leary.


Pianist Bridget O'Leary is a musician, composer, and educator from Raleigh who also maintains a presence in her native Kansas City, where she was honored as the 2025 commissioned composer for the Charlotte House Series. Upcoming performances in 2026 feature duo recitals with cellist Sam Magill, trio concerts with Melete Trio, and new recording projects. Recent work includes a guest artist recital with cellist Yuriy Leonovich at UNC, duo recitals with North Carolina Symphony Principal Flute Megan Torti, and performances with her crossover quartet Fourscore. 

O’Leary has been awarded the United Arts Council Artist Support Grant (2022 and 2024) and grants from Raleigh Piano Teachers Association (2022) and North Carolina Music Teachers Association (2023). She has previously served as program coordinator of Classical Revolution KC and founding director of KC Young Musicians Roundtable. She is currently president of Raleigh Piano Teachers Association and actively serves on committees and adjudication panels nationwide. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory.
