David Glover served as Associate Conductor of the North Carolina Symphony from 2014-2018 and has frequently returned as a guest conductor for selected Summerfest, Pops, and Education concerts. 

David Glover serves as Music Director of the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and appears regularly as a guest conductor with orchestras across the United States. Previously, he served as Associate Conductor of the North Carolina Symphony, where he led more than 250 performances across the state. His appearances ranged from major choral works such as Carmina Burana to the inaugural classical concert in the Symphony's new Wilmington concert hall, as well as two statewide tours. He continues a close relationship with the North Carolina Symphony, this season returning for three weeks of performances. Prior to his appointment in North Carolina, he served as Assistant Conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

Recent engagements have included return performances with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra along with debut appearances with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas (SoNA). In addition, this season he leads the Triangle Youth Philharmonic on a concert tour of Vienna and Prague, including a performance in Vienna's renowned Musikverein, and conducts the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra in a collaboration with Wolfbane Productions on Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Further guest conducting credits include the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Minneapolis Pops Orchestra, North Czech Philharmonic, Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Indiana, South Bend Symphony Orchestra, and Muncie Symphony Orchestra.

Beyond his work with professional orchestras, Glover is Artistic Director of Triangle Youth Music in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he oversees ten ensembles serving more than 400 young musicians and conducts the organization's flagship ensemble, the Triangle Youth Philharmonic. He is equally passionate about introducing young audiences to orchestral music, having conducted education concerts for more than 250,000 elementary school students.

Originally trained as a violinist, Glover earned performance degrees from the University of Georgia and Boston University before completing a master's degree in orchestral conducting at Indiana University, where he studied with David Effron and Thomas Baldner. He has also pursued advanced conducting studies with Atso Almila, Johannes Schlaefli, and Kenneth Kiesler.

Glover lives in Cary, North Carolina, with his wife, Emily, a violinist with the North Carolina Symphony, and their daughter, Maia.
