These concerts are the North Carolina Symphony debut of Brook Wood.
Brook Wood is a singer based in New York City. At the start of 2020, she made her debut with The Philly POPS in a tribute to Phil Collins and Genesis; recent appearances include the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Winston Salem Symphony, as well as tributes to the music of Queen and Journey at the Prima Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is currently touring with Broadway singers in Neil Berg's 50 Years of Rock and Roll across the United States.
Wood originated the role of JP Morgan in the Adirondack Theatre Festival's production of Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat, an electronic musical by Nikko Benson & Benjamin Halstead. She was also seen in the PATH Fund's Rockers on Broadway at Le Poisson Rouge, benefiting composer Tom Kitt. She toured with Postmodern Jukebox On Deck aboard ships of the Holland America Line in 2019. She is a native of Indianapolis and a graduate of Indiana University.
