The Catalinas made their Summerfest debut in 2023.

The Catalinas were inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2022, as they celebrated their 65th anniversary. Though the band is based primarily in the southeastern United States, their music is played on radio stations in the United Kingdom, Greece, and Australia—to name a few. 

The Catalinas’ signature song, “Summertime’s Calling Me,” was recorded in 1975; in 2023, it was honored in the Carolina Beach Music Awards Hall of Fame. Other popular songs from the group include “You Haven’t the Right,” “Facts of Love,” “Dancin’ Romancin’,” and “Hey Little Girl.” Album releases include Summer 21 (2021) and Dancin’ Romancin’ (2015), both of which were nominated for Album of the Year honors by the Carolina Beach Music Awards.
