STEPHEN NACHAMIE (Director) is thrilled to return live to Nashville Symphony and to collaborate with Maestro Enrico Lopez-Yañez and choreographer Felicity Stiverson again. Mr. Nachamie is an award-winning stage and film director. On Broadway he was associate director for the Tony Award winning revival of She Loves Me, which can be seen on PBS’ Great Performances and Broadway HD. New York directing credits include, the reunion concert of Little Shop of Horrors (w/Alan Menken), Small Town Confessions (w/Alice Ripley and Daisy Eagan), Becoming Dr. Ruth, Buyer and Cellar, My Name is Asher Lev, the world premieres of Mr. Confidential and Foreverman (NYMF), The Witness Project (First Person Holocaust Survivor Stories-UJA), Faraway Bayou (w/Nikki M. James), Luck! (w/Faith Prince), and The 25th Anniversary production of Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song Trilogy starring Sirius Radio’s Seth Rudetsky. Regional credits include Becoming Dr. Ruth (Cincinnati Playhouse) Fiddler on the Roof (with Tony Winner Debbie Gravitte and Loni Ackerman), tick, tick… BOOM!, Gutenberg! Symphony & Opera credits include Kellie Pickler in Music City Christmas (Nashville Symphony), The Judy Garland Songbook and Bernstein’s Broadway (Omaha Symphony), and Amahl and the Night Visitors (Steamboat Springs Symphony). Stephen’s career in New York Theatre began while in high school working for the final year of the original Off-Broadway Production of Little Shop of Horrors.
