Christopher Hudert is excited to be bringing James and the Giant Peach to the Riverside stage. It is his fifth show as Scenic Designer for Riverside where he is currently the Technical Director/Master Carpenter. He has spent over 50 years in and around theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. His diverse skill set includes set and puppet design and construction, clowning, puppetry, stilt walking, juggling, acting, directing, script writing, sculpting, and more. As a performer, he has played everywhere from living rooms to Madison Square Garden, touring across the country and Japan. For over 20 years he has been an integral part of Mooseburger Clown Arts Camp (MN), planning, writing, teaching, and coaching amateur and professional clowns. As Technical Director and Master Carpenter, Christopher enjoys sharing his experience building for Applause Unlimited, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus, Kings Dominion, Studio Theater, Woolly Mammoth, and many others, to the Scene Shop and Production Team. Prior to designing James and the Giant Peach, Christopher designed Willie Wonka; Seussical; The 2024 Christmas Spectacular; and Junie B Jones, the Musical.
