Angel Orugbo is a versatile South African-Nigerian actor, singer, voice-over artist, writer, and professional problem solver. She earned a Diploma in Musical Theatre and Dance from Oakfields College by completing three years of rigorous training and consuming way more coffee than she’d like to admit…
Her career has taken her from the recording booth to the stage and everywhere in between. She contributed to Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire on Disney+ and voiced characters in the internationally released animated film Panda Bear in Africa. She has also delighted audiences on stage in the role of Mayor Goodway in PAW Patrol Live!, Seraphine in Requiem for the Damned, and now, as Chilli in Bluey’s Big Play.
Beyond performing, Orugbo has extensive production experience, having worked as a stage manager, sound operator, lighting operator, and most importantly the person everyone suddenly needs five minutes before curtain. Her production credits include Alice in Wonderland, the Neil Diamond Tribute Show, Coppélia, Marianne Thamm’s Round of Applause, Carmen, Selim Kagee in Il Mondo, and The ABBA Show. Her behind-the-scenes expertise gives her a well-rounded understanding of live performance and production.
In addition to her work in entertainment, Orugbo is deeply passionate about writing and storytelling. She is continuously exploring and uncovering new ways to express her creativity and stretch her imagination.
She brings energy, dedication, heart, and witty one-liners to every project she becomes part of.
