Over the course of his 30-year career, Carlos Vives has been honored with the industry's most prestigious awards, including two Grammys and 18 Latin Grammys. Most recently, he was honored as the Latin Recording Academy’s 2024 Person of the Year. In 2020, he was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Awards Hall of Fame, and he has also received the Icon Award at the Musa Awards, the ASCAP Founders Award, the Legacy Award from the Latin American Music Awards, and a Billboard Award, among many others, establishing himself as one of the most prolific Latin American artists of his generation.
With over 10 billion streams and 20 million albums sold worldwide, Vives has become a cultural ambassador for Colombia. He has collaborated with the most important artists in Hispanic America, such as Shakira, Rubén Blades, Alejandro Sanz, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Sebastián Yatra, and Camilo. In the last five years, he has performed over 350 shows, filling arenas and stadiums in more than 25 countries.
Vives has also participated in multiple projects outside of music, showcasing his talent not only as a singer but also as a composer, musical producer, and actor. He contributed the main theme for Disney's animated film Encanto and starred in and created the soundtrack for the Disney series El club de los graves (The Low Tone Club).
