Welcome to Wolf Trap!
On behalf of Wolf Trap Foundation’s Board of Directors, I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2023 summer season. This national treasure was founded in the spirit of philanthropy by Catherine Filene Shouse, who donated the land and funds to create a community oasis that would last forever. Today, Wolf Trap thrives and remains America’s only national park dedicated to the performing arts.
After a successful first 50 years, Wolf Trap is looking to the future with the Campaign for Wolf Trap: Our Next Chapter—a visionary effort to support capital improvements and endowment funding. We continue to make long-lasting upgrades at the Park that improve audience amenities and enhance accessibility throughout the venue. Likewise, the Foundation is expanding its mission-based arts and education programs to new communities each year, and Wolf Trap Opera’s nationally recognized residency continues to significantly impact the genre’s growth with a pipeline of talented artists.
Such a special community gem requires many dedicated philanthropists to sustain the Park’s beauty and amplify the Foundation’s impact for generations to come. I wholeheartedly thank our Board, supporters, partners, and Campaign contributors for your continued belief in Wolf Trap. Your much-appreciated philanthropy ensures Wolf Trap is forever.
