A Message from the Superintendent

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. This treasured place, one of hundreds of National Park Service sites throughout the United States, beautifully intertwines the worlds of nature and the performing arts.

Each of our National Park Service places tells a meaningful part of America’s story, and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is proud to highlight the importance of live music and theater as a cultural cornerstone. Surrounded by lush woodlands and a peaceful Meadow, the Park creates the perfect immersive backdrop for music, dance, and theater. These breathtaking surroundings make each visit feel special and memorable.

While performances are a highlight of Wolf Trap, the Park’s beauty extends beyond the stage. I invite you to return throughout the year to enjoy the Park’s natural splendor. The Park offers more than two miles of scenic trails and native plant gardens that are perfect for walking and reflection.

Whether you visit the Park for a concert or to explore these beautiful settings, I hope your time at Wolf Trap is relaxing, renewing, and inspiring.
